  • Loughborough University Open day - Friday 17th September 2010

    On Friday 17th September you will be going to visit Loughborough University Open day with the rest of Year 12.

    The following activities are designed to prepare you for this open day and open days in the future.

  • The following course is aimed at providing a brief introduction to the UCAS service and how to search for higher education courses.
  • This section provides you with a direct link to the UCAS website.  It will also contain important information about Apply 11

  • In this section you will have access to up-to-date information about the current Labour Market and how it is changing.  This will give you an insight into the availability of employment opportunities in the career sector you may be considering. 
  • If you want any of the information from the presentations that took place during Enrichment week you will find most of them in this section.

  • Throughout this section you will be putting together information about yourself which will be useful to you for a CV, job application and your personal statement if you are going to apply to UCAS.

  • A UCAS Card can give you a range of discounts at shops such as Topman and Topshop, JJB and Superdrug.  More than that though, it can give you tailored information on courses and institutions as well as help with the UCAS process.  Register for a UCAS Card here.
  • This section aims to inform you about the costs involved in continuing into Higher Education as well as the different types of support that is available to you.  

  • This section provides you with the tools you need to find out all you need to know about that dream job you've got your heart set on, or, if you're not sure what you want to do, find out what kind of career might suit you and what you need to do to achieve it.

  • Find out how to write your Personal Statement and get tips on how to make it stand out from the crowd.

  • If you are thinking about going to University you need to take a look at this section. Here you will research and consider the most suitable courses and which Universities are right for you.
